May is Maternal Mental Health Month, and May 1st - to kick off this month of awareness - is World Maternal Mental Health Day. While we work tirelessly every month to support new and expecting mothers through therapy/counseling and person-centered collaborative care, we’re looking forward to learning, sharing and bringing further awareness to this topic throughout May with all of you. Perinatal mood & anxiety disorders (PMADS) are the #1 complication of childbirth in the United States, affecting 1 out of every 5 new mothers.
We CAN make a difference by acknowledging and breaking down barriers to reaching out for & receiving support for mothers in our community and around the world.
