Haven Family Resource was formed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, when a clear call-to-action became clear: Santa Barbara County is in significant need of diversity-informed, culturally responsive maternal and infant-parent mental health professionals who have the compassion and specialized advance training needed to support pregnant and birthing people and their families in pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. We are committed to training the next generation of providers in the field of maternal mental health and infant-parent mental health. Our comprehensive clinical program, comprising direct 1:1 and group supervision and an advanced didactic series led by experts, ensures that each trainee receives the necessary guidance to enhance their clinical expertise in the perinatal and infant-parent mental health. Our ultimate goal is to cultivate empathetic and highly skilled clinicians who will make significant contributions to the advacement of maternal and infant-caregiver mental health outcomes for the individuals we serve, and as their careers move forward.
We work in collaboration with the University of California, Santa Barbara and Antioch University to provide clinical training to advance clinical psychology doctoral candidates and master's candidates.
